Over 50 years ago, Francis R. Foley opened our doors, serving the community. For the past 30 years, his son, Francis X. Foley, has carried on the tradition of rendering funeral services not only to our neighborhood, but also to all of Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
Francis X. Foley, a Vietnam Veteran, is an alumnus of Cardinal Dougherty High School and LaSalle University. He received his Funeral Director's license in San Francisco, CA. Before becoming a funeral director, Fran spent a few years teaching at ArchBishop Ryan Catholic High School in Philadelphia. He is a member of the VFW. He is also known for his kind and gentle demeanor with families we help.
Fran’s wife, Annette, assists him with the funeral work and provides grief care. She is a Bereavement Minister for the funeral home. Annette is a Navy Veteran and an alumnus of Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls and attends LaSalle University part time. She is also a member of the American Academy of Bereavement and the Association of Death Education and Counseling.
Fran and Annette are active in their parish, Presentation BVM in Cheltenham, PA. Fran serves as an Usher for Sunday mass and helps with the grounds, when possible. Annette is a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, and Coordinator for both the Adoration Chapel and Bereavement Ministry.
We know how important it is to be committed to helping others in every possible way. We make sure that this is reflected in our approach to families we serve. This commitment is also reflected in the energy and attention that we put forth as we work to bring peace to grieving families.
Foley Funeral Home and the Foley family have been trusted fixtures in the community for the past 60 years, as such are proud members of the Burholme Business Association and the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
The Foley Family has been serving Philadelphia area families with professional, compassionate and affordable service since 1957.
