Welcome!

The Philadelphia Shambhala Meditation Center is part of Shambhala International, an international community of urban meditation and rural retreat centers founded by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. Our center offers daily public meditation, a core curriculum of Buddhist and Shambhala teachings, as well as training in advanced contemplative practices.

We invite you to explore our diverse programs designed to help people of all traditions discover their inherent sanity, gentleness and humor.

Public meditation is offered daily Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday.

The Philadelphia Shambhala Meditation Center offers public meditation sessions and classes in the Buddhist and Shambhala teachings and contemplative arts.

Mindfulness meditation is the foundation of all that we do at the Shambhala Meditation Center. Originating from Shakyamuni Buddha, this 2,500 year-old practice of self-discovery is rooted in the simple, but revolutionary premise that every hum

Shambhala Vision is rooted in the principle that every human being has a fundamental nature of basic goodness. This nature can be developed in daily life so that it radiates out to family, friends, community and society.
