Celebrate the start of Hanukkah with a special Boathouse Row holiday lighting! In honor of the first night of the holiday on December 12, traditional songs and prayers will be presented, along with the Boathouse Row lights illuminated in blue and white to represent a menorah. Join us on the Schuylkill River Trail at the Fairmount Fish Ladder with Mayor Kenney, Parks & Recreation Commissioner Kathryn Ott Lovell, the Jewish Federation and other City officials to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah!
In addition to this special celebration, the Boathouse Row lights will remain illuminated in blue and white from December 12 through 19.
Want to see more festive lightings of Boathouse Row this season? Check out the holiday lighting with special animated show (Dec. 20 through 25) and the black, red, and green lighting for Kwanzaa (Dec. 26 through Jan. 1). The lights will be turned on at 6pm each evening.
All events are free and open to the public.
